Thumper (RSPCA Cheshire)

This lovely lady is Thumper. She is a dwarf lop aged approximately 1-2 years old. Thumper came into our care after her owner could no longer cope caring for the number of rabbits they had ‘rescued’.

Thumper is a nosey inquisitive girl, she was a little shy for the first couple of days but soon settled and started to enjoy her new space and freedom. Thumper is really well litter trained. She is an active girl and would love lots of toys to play with and keep her occupied. Thumper can live outside or inside, as you can see from the photos she’s very comfortable being inside, she literally ‘flopped’ and made herself comfortable 5 minutes into her photo shoot!

Thumper has been neutered vaccinated against myxomatosis and vhd1 (she is due her vhd2 vaccine on 21st feb) and microchipped. Thumper is looking for a home where she will be bonded with a neutered male rabbit.

Dazzle, Shimmer & Sparkle (RSPCA Cheshire)

Meet our gorgeous boys; Dazzle, Shimmer and Sparkle. The boys are approximately 4 and a half months old now and will be medium sized bunnies when they are fully grown.

Dazzle, Shimmer and Sparkle came into our care along with their mum and 5 other bunnies. They came from a home where breeding had got out of control and their owner had just left them to go abroad for a few months, they were also being fed a completely unsuitable diet. The boys were only 3 weeks old when they arrived in our care and have thankfully suffered no ill effects from their past, they are strong bouncy healthy baby bunnies who have an amazing appetite and enjoy a very healthy diet.

Dazzle with the grey ears, is the next most confident of the group he is a little explorer with zero fear.

Shimmer a blue eyed white is a bit on the quieter side, but he holds his own and is front of the queue when it comes to food!

Sparkle also a blue eyed white is the shyest of the bunch he was very much a mummy’s boy.

All the boys have been neutered, fully vaccinated against myxomatosis vhd1 and vhd2, microchipped and health checked by an exotics specialist vet. They are looking for new homes either in groups or pairs or singularly to bond with an existing neutered vaccinated female rabbit in the home.

River & Mersey  (RSPCA Cheshire)

Who remembers River and Mersey the 2 week old bunnies who were dumped in a shoe box soaked in urine?? Well here they are now 5 months old and ready to find their forever home!

River and Mersey have been health checked neutered vaccinated and microchipped and are looking for their new home together ideally as house bunnies but could be rehomed to a suitable set up outside aslong as they are groomed regularly.

River (grey female) and Mersey (black male) are small to medium sized lionhead bunnies. They are confident friendly inquisitive bunnies however like most bunnies they really don’t like being picked up. They are improving with their litter training. They have grown up in our care and have been brought up on a healthy diet, they are fantastic hay eaters and they love readigrass in fact they will quite often choose readigrass over their veggies!

Ant & Dec (RSPCA Cheshire)

Meet our very handsome boys Ant and Dec! Any and Dec are approximately 3-4 years old and are large lops.

They came into our care along with several other rabbits after their owner died and remaining family were unable to look after them. Ant and Dec were living in accommodation which was far to small for them, they were also being fed a completely unsuitable muesli food diet. As a result of the wrong diet and very little exercise they are both abit on the chunky side! Plenty of hay is really important for all rabbits to keep their teeth and digestive systems healthy.

Ant and Dec are a little shy at the moment but given time a reassurance they will make fantastic bunnies.

They have been neutered vaccinated and microchipped and are looking for a new home together.

Please contact Julia at RSPCA Cheshire (based in Altrincham) on – 0161 286 2503 for more information.

Cream Dwarf Hamster  (Little Animals Adoption)

This little girl is a cream dwarf hamster (Campbell’s or hybrid, we aren’t too sure) who is six months old, who was part of an unexpected litter. She’s very friendly and inquisitive, and incredibly gentle and calm. She absolutely loves to burrow, she loves her wheel and really enjoys coming out of her cage. She would be fine with children but because she is a dwarf hamster she would be better for older children and teenagers as she is small and delicate. We have struggled to find a home for her because of her lovely red eyes, which is such a shame because she is one of the loveliest hamsters I have had the pleasure of looking after.

The adoption fee is £20, which includes her cage, her favourite toys, a bag of food and an information booklet.
Small animals can be reserved for £3, which will be deducted from the fee.
We take back hamsters at any time for a partial refund because we understand that circumstances can change.

Colin & Dave  (Warrington Animal Welfare)

Resident cockeralls Colin and Dave are practically reaching legendary status at the centre. They can often be found either side of the entrance, we think they would make great bouncers! They are up for adoption if you have a small holding, farm or similar.

When they aren’t pestering volunteers, they try to steal cat food or dig up the ground for a mud bath.
