Cats and Kittens needing a home

A list of current Cats & Kittens that need a loving home. Charities will update this page as often as possible.

Sammy (RSPCA Cheshire)

Sammy is a gorgeous, 9 week old, male, ginger and white kitten.  He was signed over into RSPCA care and is looking for his forever home.

Sammy is a friendly little lad, but a little nervous of people he doesn’t know.  He quickly comes round though and loves human attention.  He can amuse himself with his toys but does love to be cuddled and receive a good fuss.

Sammy is fine with children and would be best suited to a home where someone is in a lot of the time to give him the attention he enjoys.

If you would like to meet him, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Misch (RSPCA Cheshire)

Misch is a seven year old, black and white, female cat.  She is a delightful girl who found herself in a sad situation through no fault of her own.  Misch had a few trust issues when she first arrived at her foster home and was very clever at finding novel hiding places where she could keep a watchful eye on the situation, especially those pesky, resident cats.

As she has got braver, her lovely personality has started to emerge.  She loves fuss and attention and is extremely affectionate, enjoying marathon stroking sessions.  She has a cute way of jumping up on her hind legs towards your hand for a tickle and just can’t get enough of them.  She likes to sit by your side and be close but hasn’t wanted to sit on knees as yet.  Misch is very chatty and responds when you talk to her with a range of squeaks and meows.

Misch can live with other cats, dogs and children.  She is neutered and vaccinated and needs a loving home to provide all the stability, strokes and tickles she deserves.

If you would like to meet her, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Salmon (RSPCA Cheshire)

Salmon is a black male approximately one year old, and is now adjusting to the perks of being a house kitty after living outside for quite a while! When he first arrived at his foster home, Salmon didn’t know how to play with toys, but he’s now proving himself to be an avid hunter of a feather on a string and any unsuspecting ping pong balls. Salmon’s favourite household discovery is the fluffy throw at the end of his fosterer’s bed. He pads and purrs the moment he steps on it, and will happily snuggle in to it for a good nights sleep with his fosterers!

While he is still building his confidence, Salmon can be easily spooked and become defensive. Because of this, he would be suited to a home without young children.

Salmon is fully litter trained, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He’s now looking for a place to call home!

If you would like to meet her, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Lola (RSPCA Cheshire)

Lola is a beautiful female cat, who is approximately three years old. She has a rich plush grey coat and sparkly eyes. She has a lovely temperament and is extremely affectionate. She likes nothing more than sitting on your lap and rubbing her head on you. She responds to her name and likes following her fosters around the house. She would benefit from having owners who are at home a lot as she’d get lonely on her own. She can also be quite playful too. Lola is used to being an indoor cat.

If you would like to meet her, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Fozzie & Gonzo (RSPCA Cheshire)

Fozzie – approx. 2 years old (mostly black)

Gonzo – approx. 18 months old (black & white splodges)

These two handsome boys came into our care from a multi-cat household. Its possible that they are related, but from different litters due to the age difference between them. They are full of energy and love to chase each other around, play with their toys and explore. They are really friendly and affectionate, and love nothing more than a nice warm cosy spot to curl up in when they are tired. They do get on well together so would be fine to be re-homed together, or they can go separately.

Both have been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

If you would like to meet them, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Poppy & Holly (RSPCA Cheshire)

Poppy and Holly are sisters who are two years old. They are both very shy, particularly Holly, having spent the past two years living in a bedroom. They aren’t used to a lot of noise and have never been outdoors but could go outside in the future. Poppy and Holly are ideally looking for a home together where they will need to gain trust and confidence over time. They are looking for somewhere quiet and would not be suitable for young children as they scare quite easily. However, they are both affectionate with Poppy taking the lead and being the more confident of the sisters. Poppy and Holly are both spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Tigger (RSPCA Cheshire)

Tigger is a 2/3 yr old very handsome tabby.  When he was rescued he had to have his jaw wired due to an injury and he seems wary of car noises so we think he may have been involved in a car accident.  He is desperate  to be cuddled and loved but he is not confident enough to make the first move so his new owner must be very patient but they will be well rewarded buy his response which is marching on you while purring and wool sucking all together. Because of his timid nature he would be best suited to a calm child free home PS he snores !! Tigger has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and would be happy as an indoor cat.

If you would like to meet him, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Bobby (Tails Animal Rescue Northwich)

Bobby is a beautiful 15 year old boy looking for a home of his own, with no other cats and older children.  He was living as a stray in Greenbank and really unwell when he was found by a lady and taken in. He has made a great recovery.  So much so, that he now wants to be Head Cat in her household and has started bullying her other cats, one of whom is a companion for a child with a severe medical condition.  The lady does not want that particular cat to leave home because of the bullying and has sadly had to put him up for adoption.  He is a loving boy, wanting all the attention, loves cuddles and a fuss.  He’s neutered and microchipped, litter-trained and likes going outside.  He has an ongoing renal issue (not renal failure) and has to have renal biscuits as part of his meals.  He has no teeth but can eat biscuits with gusto!! We don’t know how he is with dogs.

If you can help give an OAP a home for the rest of his life, please ring Vikkie on 07756 713077.

Theo (RSPCA Cheshire)

Meet our handsome boy Theo, who is 2 years old and has the most beautiful eyes. He’s lovely and affectionate, and will make a fantastic lap cat once he’s settled in the right home. His favourite things are food and lying right in the middle of any room or hallway! He’s very inquisitive, and quite a chatterbox. Theo has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, and is all ready for his forever home – could it be with you?

If you would like to meet him, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Alfie (RSPCA Cheshire)

Alfie is a very friendly cat with the loudest purr! He is about 8 years old, unfortunately his owner has had to give him up through ill health. He likes to snuggle up on your knee and loves having his head rubbed resulting in a loud rumbling purr. He is confident and does not shy away from visitors he is happy to receive fuss from anyone who will oblige! He did go outside briefly when he was with his owner but is happiest indoors. He would settle in anywhere that he can get the fuss he loves, he is sitting on my knee purring as I write this.

If you would like to meet him, please call Julia on 0161 286 2503.

Dennis (Tails Animal Rescue Northwich)

This big boy is Dennis.  He is looking for a new home because his disabled owner is having to move and can’t keep him   He is seven years old and would enjoy an indoor lifestyle, he’s really not fussed about going outdoors.  He is neutered and chipped and he loves laps.  Perhaps he would suit an older family or at least a quiet home.

Please ring John on 07892 823257.

Charlie (Tails Animal Rescue Northwich)

This is Charlie, he was living as a stray.  We think he is around 12 years old and he’s had a hard time without a home.  Can you help him with a warm cosy bed and cuddles?  Despite all that life as a stray has put him through, he is a friendly soul.  He is neutered, and needs to be rehomed with no other cats or dogs.

Ring John on 07892 823257.

Ziggy (Tails Animal Rescue Northwich)

This handsome boy is around 2 years old and was found living as a stray in Comberbach, after an extensive search no owners came forward so he is looking for a lovely new home.  He has gorgeous tabby stripes and a nice coat, he would be best as an only cat as we know he doesn’t like other cats and probably best to avoid young children too.  He is litter trained and loves a fuss.  He will be neutered and microchipped.

Please ring Elaine on 07971 547336.

Three Feral Girls (Tails Animal Rescue Northwich)

These are feral kittens, looking for a farm, perhaps, or a smallholding where they will help out with mouse-catching duties and mucking out. Well, maybe not the latter.  Anyway, they are about 15 weeks old, they will be neutered and there are actually three of them, although the photos are only of two of them at the moment.

Please contact John on 07892 823257.

Barney (Warrington Animal Welfare)

Barney – Kitten DSH

8 Weeks Old male

Warrington Animal Welfare

Barney is just a gorgeous fluffball!  He was found in a factory when he was 3-4 weeks old (his mum was probably a feral cat) and was rushed to the vets as he had really sore eyes. Barney is a really playful lad who loves his toys and cuddles, he is growing into a proper cheeky chappie!

Barney will be ready to go to his forever home in the new year.  Due to his previous eye problems he needs to be rehomed as an only cat, so we like single kittens to go to homes where they won’t be left alone for long lengths of time.

RifRaf (Warrington Animal Welfare)

RifRaf – Cat DSH
11 Years Old male
Warrington Animal WelfareRifRaf is a a gentle oldie, a ‘Senior Kittizen’ who just wants cuddles and a lap to snooze on.Here are 10 reasons to adopt a Senior Kittizens!1. The personality of an older cat is already known – making it easier to match you with the right cat!2. Older Cats are generally less demanding than youngsters, and need less supervision, so if you work outside the home, an adult cat is much better able to content itself while you are out than a youngster.3. Most older cats are seeking little more than a warm lap, regular food and love!4. Adult cats from a rescue will be neutered, litter trained, and calmer than a youngster.5. If you have an older cat already, another oldie, carefully introduced, can be less stressful for him/her than a kitten.6. The older cat is less likely to catch birds and mice than a youngster, or at least much less often.7. Cats regularly live into their late teens these days, so most seniors will have many years of life and love to give.8. A senior puss is unlikely to leap up on your shelves and knock your ornaments off, or to climb up your curtains!9. Mature Mogs are so grateful to have found a loving home again – they will repay your love ten-fold!10. And last but by no means least…Senior Kittizens Rock! (between naps)

Farm/Stable Cats (Warrington Animal Welfare)

Farm/Stable Cats – SPECIAL HOME – Cat DSH
4 Months Old female
Warrington Animal Welfare

*WE NEED A SPECIAL HOME*

These young girls are not suited to a life as pet cats as they are semi-feral.  They have missed out on human contact when they were kittens and so are very wary of humans.

We are looking for a home for them where they are fed and looked after but can roam freely, for example on a stable yard.  With time and patience they may allow people to briefly stroke them, but they probably never will be “lap cats.”

Cathy is 18 months old, Heathcliff a year old, and they are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. They just need a loving home together in which to grow in confidence and feel loved again.

Avril & Stevie (Warrington Animal Welfare)

SPECIAL HOME – Cat DSH
Adult, mixed

Warrington Animal Welfare

Avril & Stevie are part of the group of cats with Dolly, Christina and Ariana – and we would prefer to rehome them as a pair.

Stevie (right) and Avril (left) are two best friends looking for a loving home together – a very special home to make up for their tough past, living in cramped conditions with multiple cats and not been fed properly.  They have all had to have dental treatment – some of these poor kitties have no teeth left so have funny smiles.
They were very nervous when they first arrived, but have grown in confidence and enjoy head rubs and fussing’s once they get to know you.

Stevie and Avril MUST be rehomed together as they spend their days snuggling and grooming each other. They just need a kind human friend who can give them the love and care they need.

Poor Elric came to us after spending months on the streets – nobody could find his owners.  He was at the centre, but pod life really didn’t suit him and he was very miserable.

He is now with one of our fosterers and the difference is amazing!  He is showing his foster mum that he is an affectionate, playful cat – all he needed was a proper home to bring him out of his shell.

Celine and Dione (long stayers – been overlooked) – Cat DSH
4 and 2 Years Old female

Celine and Dionne came to us with Mylie, and sadly they were also suffering from a nasty flea infestation. Celine is the older 4 year old lady with more white on her face, and Dionne is the younger at 2 years old.

Celine is the more confident of the two and will come to you for head rubs and cuddles, whilst Dionne is shyer and likes to stay in the outside area, but does not mind being picked up for a quick fuss. Marshall, Minnie & Mango (Cat Homing and Rescue – Warrington)

Meet Marshall, Mango and Minnie,  three pretty little sibling kittens about 9 weeks old now looking for their forever loving homes. These little kittens are two little girls Minnie and Mango and a little boy called Marshall. They are all friendly affectionate little kittens and can be re-homed with a cat friendly dog and another friendly little cat. However we do not re-home any of our kittens with children under the age of five years. These kittens all have little individual personalities and markings. Marshall is the kitten sitting by the window and he loves exploring. Mango is the kitten lying down and she loves having her tummy tickled and Minnie is the kitten with the smudge on the side of her nose and she is quite vocal.

All these kittens will make loyal and loving pets. Our rescue manager, Hazel, will conduct a home visit before an adoption is authorised and we would ask for a minimum donation of £65 for each kitten to cover their vet fees, ie vaccinations, microchipping and neutering when old enough. We offer a complimentary 4 week petplan insurance on the day of adoption for each kitten. If you would like to adopt any of our rescue kittens please email your details ie address, postcode, work commitments and a landline number to maeggiejean2000@yahoo.co.uk We are looking to re-homing our kittens in a safe location with possible access to a secure garden

Suki (Cat Homing and Rescue – Warrington)

MEET SUKI A 5 HALF – 6 YEAR OLD FEMALE TABBY AND WHITE CAT WHO HAS REcently been taken into our rescue as her owner is terminally ill and had to go into a hospice. This is a very sad situation as this little cat has lived with her owner since she was a kitten and now needs a new forever loving home. Suki would best be re-homed in a quiet household with a lady owner who has no other cats, dogs or children. Suki is quite shy but will be a loyal and loving companion once she gains your trust. She will need lots of love and attention to help her adjust to her hew home and environment.

Her details will shortly be posted on catchat.org and on our very own web page www.cathomingandrescue.co.uk

If you believe you meet our homing criteria and would like to offer Suki a permanent forever loving home, please email your details ie address, postcode, work commitments and a landline number we can contact you on to maeggiejean2000@yahoo.co.uk
Our rescue manager will conduct a home visit before an adoption is authorised and we would ask for a minimum donation of £65 to cover all suki’s vet fees. This little cat has been fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and vet health checked.

Myrtle (Laurel Animal Rescue)

Myrtle is a petite black & white girl who arrived with us with her two ten day old kittens. The upsetting thing about this is she is only a kitten herself. This just highlights the importance of neutering.
She is a very loving cat. She wasn’t keen on other cats at first, but she soon got used to them in our catpen and is currently sharing it with 9 others. She keeps herself to herself and still prefers humans to cats but will happy queue up with the others for Dreamies!

If you would like to offer a home to Hubble, please message Laurel Animal Rescue on Facebook or Twitter or phone 07518 256160 or 07590 900330.

Robyn (Laurel Animal Rescue)

Robyn is a stunning, sleek tabby cat who arrived with us after giving birth in a garden shed in St Helens. So on a cold, wet Sunday night we went to get Robyn and her babies to safety.
As usual, the kittens all found homes and people overlook the mum cat.
Robyn is now neutered and looking for her forever home. We believe her to be 12 months old. She’s fine around other cats and enjoys chin tickles. She has also been around dogs while in our care.

If you would like to offer a home to Hubble, please message Laurel Animal Rescue on Facebook or Twitter or phone 07518 256160 or 07590 900330.
